Derek Jones

After years of tinkling short jazz-influenced tunes it's been good to try them out in the sympathetic environment of the acoustic music club. It has also spurred me on to experiment, resulting in a  few more ideas than I think would have materialised without the club's stimulus.

Treuliais fy mlynyddoedd cynnar mewn sawl barlwr yn Ynys Môn yn cael gwersi piano, ac yn ymarfer ar gyfer arholiadau, felly yn naturiol, rwyf rŵan fel arfer yn chwara gitâr a banjo.

I spent many years during my childhood having piano lessons in various living rooms in
Ynys Môn, and practising for exams, so naturally, I now play mainly guitar and banjo.
